Thank you everyone who came back to day 2 of pre-audition workshops, and to Richard Ngo for teaching this piece! Auditions are in exactly ONE WEEK, get ready because it's going to be CRAZZZYYYYY!!!

As a branch of the Nikkei Student Union (NSU), UCLA's only Japanese American student association, we are proud to represent one of the coolest cultural clubs on campus! NSU's mission involves spreading cultural awareness of the Japanese American community through service and social events. NSU Modern was formed with the purpose to perform at NSU's annual Culture Night, but has since expanded to compete and perform at various competitions and events all throughout UCLA and Southern California. No matter where we go or who we meet, we're proud to rep NSU's name and contribute to NSU's overall mission of cultural awareness.

So if you want to be part of this awesome organization, be sure to stop by the weekly General Meetings (also known as GMs) every Tuesday from 6-7PM in Kinsey Pavilion 1200B! Hey Bruins! 

I hope everyone is having an awesome summer so far and all of the new Bruins are having a blast at orientation! I just wanted to let everyone know that an NSU Modern representative will be at the NSU table during the August 21st orientation Club Fair to answer any questions you may have about the team, auditions, what NSU stands for, alternative routes around Bruinwalk, possible career options for your major, or any other topic you can think of! Though summer is quickly approaching its end, I am so excited for this upcoming year and cannot wait to see all the fresh faces in the fall. Even if you know you won't be at that club fair, feel free to send us an email or find us on our facebook anytime! We'd love to hear from you and answer your questions so please don't hesitate when contacting us!

Also, if you on campus around the times of 11:00AM and 3:00PM on Monday, August 22nd, make sure to stop by the NSU table for some delicious shaved ice in Bruin Plaza! Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3. Hello world!! Just finished making this website! I'm really excited for the upcoming year and I can't wait to see everyone's fresh faces in the fall.  We will be handing out flyers throughout the summer orientation sessions, so look out for us.
